It’s best not to push yourself too much and listen to your yoga teacher when they say that you are not ready for some poses. Here is an easy yoga position for beginners to get you started.
The Cobra Pose
The cobra pose is a good position to start with, as it is a great way to stimulate your spine. This is one of the yoga positions for beginners that are taught in many yoga classes for beginners. The muscles in the middle and lower part of your spine will be massaged and strengthened with this exercise. Lie flat on the ground (face first) your hands should be at your side at the start of this position.
Then bring your hands up so that they are under your shoulders and are flat on the floor, palms down. Your elbows will be bent. Inhale and bring your head up slowly. Use your arms to push you off the ground so that the upper half of your body is in the air. This is one of the yoga positions for beginners that does not involve the lower half of your body. Make sure your hips are still on the ground.
Now you need to exhale completely and breathe a few breaths. Now you can lift your hips and straighten out your arms. Now you need to hold this position for several more breaths. When you come to a third or fourth exhalation start to lower your body to the ground. Reversing the movements so that you come back to the ground again.
When you are coming out of these yoga positions for beginners you should be sure to do it very slowly so that you can actually feel your spine unfurling one vertebrate at a time. Your forehead should be the last thing that touches the ground. You can repeat this position again a few more times. Three more repetitions should be sufficient for you to master one of the yoga positions for beginners. You can slowly add more positions each day.
